Cougar Women’s Soccer lose 3-0 to Mesa.

The Cougar Women’s Soccer team took on Mesa CC Tuesday afternoon at South Mountain Community College soccer field looking for their first win of the season.

A tight match early on saw Mesa get on the board first on a penalty kick in the 37th minute. The scored stayed the same the rest of the half and Mesa took a 1-0 lead into the break.

Mesa cracked the score column with another goal in the 68th minute making it 2-0 and added a goal late to finish the scoring and beating the Cougars 3-0. The Cougars had three shots on goal and Freshman goalkeeper Brittni Price had 9 saves.

South Mountain (0-8) is in action again Saturday as they play Glendale (3-4) at home, 1130am.
