Chris Marrone was recently named the new Head Women’s Soccer coach by Athletic Director Todd Eastin.
Chris Marrone is excited to begin his first year as a Head Coach with South Mountain Community College. He is a native Arizonan, being born and raised in Tucson, Arizona. He has help South Mountain athletics as an assistant coach to the men’s Soccer team and a Strength and Conditioning Coach to the men’s and women’s Basketball team. Coach Chris is a Level 1 Sports Performance Coach and has a Bachelors in Science of Physical Education: Sports Management from Eastern New Mexico University. He has coached kids all over the valley from ages 2-20 in the last 5 years and is currently coaching at Mesa Soccer Club as well as running their Speed and Agility program. He previously played college soccer at Pima CC and then transferred over to continue playing at ENMU. He hopes this experience will prove beneficial to South Mountain athlete’s in an effort to help them graduate and continue on playing at higher levels.
