Men’s Basketball takes down Eastern Arizona 83-66, stays tied atop the ACCAC.

Men’s Basketball was back in action after two wins in the Phoenix Tournament over Regina 100-91 and Midland 82-75. Hosting Eastern Arizona Wednesday night the Cougars struggled out of the gate trailing at one time 18-2. South scrambled back to only be down 42-40 at the half. Much better play in the second half saw the Cougars beat Eastern 83-66.

Darvis Fletcher was a big spark plug off the bench. Playing in his first game of the year he had 16 points, 4 rebounds and 2 assists. Rolando Rhymes had 15 points and 6 assists and JC Onwumere had 12 points and 10 rebounds.

South Mountain is now (12-2,5-1) on the season and travels to take on Glendale Saturday at 4pm.
