South Mountain got the victory Saturday afternoon against Arizona Western 100-99 in OT. Arizona Western was leading the ACCAC going into to the game while South was at the bottom making it a huge upset for the injury struck Cougars.
Men’s Basketball hosted Central Arizona Saturday afternoon. The Cougars lead 43-39 at the half but could not hold the lead as they lost 80-79. South Mountain lead by as many as 16 at one time but could not secure the conference victory.

South started off slow and trailed 11-2 early and stayed pretty much the same all the way through the half as the Cougars trailed at half 42-31.
South Mountain traveled to Yuma Wednesday night to take on nationally ranked conference opponent Arizona Western who was (7-1) on the year so far garnering a #23 ranking. South would be down a couple of players as Seth Mason has an injury and Edajh Fawkes is out due to suspension.
South Mountain Men’s Basketball dropped their conference opener Tuesday night to Mesa 102-94. It was a high scoring game with plenty of fouls as the T-Birds lead at half 61-52.
