After trailing by 1 shot, halfway through the Tournament, South Mountain turned up the pressure and won the Championship by 20 shots.
Today’s conditions were a little more difficult for the golfers, but the top two teams remain in a tight race for the National Title.
South Mountain will begin competition on Tuesday morning, as the number 1 ranked Junior College team in the country.
Winning by a total of 65 shots over the second place team. South Mountain’s five participants finished #1 through #5 in the final standings.

Connor Klein of South Mountain earned NJCAA Division II Arnold Palmer Individual National Champion Award for earning medalist honors at the NJCAA Division II Championships.
Klein opened the championship with 6-under 66 and was tied for the lead after the first round. He fell into a tie for third place after 71 in the second round. Even par in the third round kept Klein in the tie for third, four shots back of the lead. Klein roared back in the final round firing 67, including birdies on three of his last four holes, to claim medalist honors.
The victory was Klein’s third of the spring. In seven tournaments this season his only finish outside the top six was tied for 15th in his first event competing for South Mountain
