South Mountain won the Redhawk Invitational on September 18th with a two day score of 586 winning by 6 strokes. Amrit Hayer finished 3rd individually with a two day score of 146. Here are full results from the two day event.
South Mountain won their Fall Invitational at Legacy on September 7th scoring a 287 on the day. Brenden Meyer finished second individually scoring a 70 on the day. Here are full results.
Men’s Golf 2016-2017 has three players going on to play at the Division 1 level.
Filip Lundell (2-time NJCAA All American, GCAA West Region Selection, 2-time Region I First Team, 2-time All Conference First Team, member of 2016 NJCAA Champion team) went on to play at Grand Canyon University.
The South Mountain Men’s Golf team finished 5th at Nationals in Mesa, Arizona shooting the second best round on the final day to finish with a team total of 1189 in the four day tournament at Longbow GC. TJ Nolan finished 8th as the highest individual finalist for the Cougars.
South Mountain won the four day Region 1 Championship for the third year in a row by 12 strokes scoring a 1202. Filip Lundell finished second individually with a 295 on the four days.
