South Mountain Women’s Soccer hosted Cochise on Saturday afternoon still looking for that first win on the season. The Cougars have had several injuries and with seven players sidelined the Cougars went to work trying to beat the Apaches.
In the first half South Mountain opened the scoring with a goal from Janet Aguayo but Cochise answered back with a goal of their own and the score was 1-1 going into half. In the second half Cochise added two unanswered goals to push their lead to 3-1. South added a goal late, another from Janet Aguayo, but it wasn’t enough as the Cougars fell to Cochise 3-2.
The Cougars are now (0-16) with three games left on the year. They will host Gateway next Tuesday at 330pm.
