The Cougars kicked off the season in the New Mexico Military Tournament this past weekend. South Mountain finished the weekend by winning 3 of 4 matches, including defeating nationally ranked Odessa College.
The National Junior College Athletic Association has named South Mountain Community College’s women’s volleyball team the Academic Team of the Year (2014-15). This is the second consecutive year that the volleyball team has had the top GPA in the nation.
All student athletes must have a physical on file before participating in formal practice (weights & conditioning, practice, and scrimmages). This includes all student athletes that will be joining the team in the following year, or a person trying out for the team.
The South Mountain Community College Volleyball Camp is designed to provide the athlete with a wide variety of skill training covering many of the aspects of the game. The efficient technique training that will be taught will be similar to that of the South Mountain CC Team.

Head Coach Patrick Mooney is happy to announce the first new member of the SMCC Cougar volleyball squad that will take the floor in the fall of 2015.
