South Mountain Community Library Invites You to Celebrate
PHOENIX, Ariz.– The South Mountain Community Library will be celebrating an anniversary. Five years ago in September, South Mountain Community College and the City of Phoenix opened the doors to the library.
To celebrate the fifth anniversary, you are invited to attend a special event that includes remarks from the SMCC President, Dr. Shari Olson, the Phoenix City Librarian, Rita Hamiliton, elected officials, and the Friends of the Library. Stop in and have some coffee and pastries on us!
While you are there, take a look at the nationally acclaimed library building, all the great books, DVDs, CDs and more. Library cards will also be available.
“This is a community that values learning and access to information,” Dr. Shari Olson, SMCC President said. “South Mountain Community Library provides all sorts of ways to support those values — books, films, magazines, downloadable digital materials, databases and a variety of programs.
“We are a library focused on service — we have research librarians, a materials request and reserve system, and a website that allows you to easily search all of our resources, keep up with our calendar and ask a quick question.”
