CIS165: Introduction to IOS Application Development3 Credits

Introduction to iOS device programming utilizing the XCode application, and the programming languages Objective-C and/or Swift, utilizing various iOS frameworks. Understand iOS hardware and feature basics. Go through entire design process from concept to final product delivery.

SM-CIS iOS Fast Track Cohort. Students enrolling in this group of classes must register for: CIS150AB (16879), CIS165 (16880), and CIS265 (16881).
Special Fee Payable at Time of Registration.
CIS150AB (Object Oriented Programming Fundamentals [Swift]), CIS165 (Introduction to iOS Application Development) and CIS265 (Advanced iOS Application Development) are offered together as an integrated class and comprise 9 credits. Students must sign up for all three courses in this "Integrated Learning cohort" and will receive three separate grades. This bootcamp-style cohort is designed to take a novice with little or no programming experience and train you to write marketable iPhone/iPad apps using XCode and Swift in 16 weeks with curriculum developed by Apple. This is a hybrid class and requires online access outside of class. If planning to work on assignments off-campus, you will need a Macintosh desktop or Macintosh laptop running macOS 10.12.6 or later.
