It's true, the JavaScript language is friendly, powerful and in huge demand among employers. This JavaScript class is a great introduction to programming and assumes no prior experience beyond HTML and CSS that students learn in CIS132 or CIS133DA. This online class is conducted exclusively via the Internet, and while you never have to come to campus, to support your learning; tutoring and computers are available for you at the SMCC campus. Log on to Canvas prior to the first day of class at this link: https://learn.maricopa.edu/login There is no textbook to purchase for this class as all course materials are available online. This section is part of our Advanced Web Development Lab-Based Learning (LBL) class and includes the following courses: CIS166AA, CIS233, CIS235. Students in this LBL class complete a variety of instructor-led hands-on labs, in addition to reading/studying the course materials, video tutorials, and outside-of-class assignments. This will be explained in full during the first class period. Students often take this class for personal interest, however this course is required for the following Degrees/Certificates offered at SMCC: + Web Development and Graphic Design + Web Design + Mobile Application Programming + Web App Development Courses in this Lab-Based Learning class are offered in the same classroom at the same time. Students wishing to take more than one of these class should enroll in one of them as hybrid and the others as online classes. Class 10629 is an on-line class. Access to the internet is required. Log on to Canvas prior to the first day of class at this link: https://learn.maricopa.edu/login. Students also need to check their student email, at https://my.maricopa.edu. For assistance, please contact the Division Secretary at 602-243-8012. The "hybrid" class requires both internet and classroom activities, while "internet" classes are 100% online. Please note that online students are welcome to drop in to class any time for extra help.
