Maricopa Emergency Management System Alert

The college will be open to serving students online and by phone starting Thursday, March 19, however in-person college services, including on-campus events and activities, will not be available.

All current online classes will continue to be held as scheduled.

In-person and hybrid courses will resume in an online format starting April 6.

Graduation and Commencement 

Graduation is a time to pay tribute to each member of the graduating class. You have left, and will continue to leave, an indelible legacy of achievement and a tradition of excellence for generations to come.

Commencement 2020

Date: Wednesday, May 6, 2020

Time: 7:00pm

Location: Arizona Federal Theatre (formerly Comerica Theater)

See an advisor and apply for commencement. The deadline for the Spring 2020 Commencement Ceremony will be April 17, 2020 to appear in the 2020 program.

Fill out your information on the graduation application, and take it with you when you meet with an advisor. Graduation applications for commencement participants will be accepted until the end of the Spring 2020 semester.

Application, Diplomas and Photos


You must submit an application for graduation to be considered for an award. 

Photographer A professional photographer will be available for the 2020 Commencement ceremony. Photos taken at previous ceremonies are still available for purchase through Grad Images.
Diploma Only the diploma covers are issued at Commencement. Actual diplomas will be mailed to the address in your Student Center after the semester has official ended and all degree or certificate requirements have been verified. Please check your Student Center to verify and update your address. Diplomas are typically mailed out five weeks after the end of the term.

Are you Eligible for Graduation?

Students maintaining continuous enrollment at any public Arizona community college or university may graduate according to the requirements of the catalog in effect at the time of initial enrollment or according to the requirements of any single catalog in effect during subsequent terms of continuous enrollment. Students may maintain continuous enrollment whether attending a single public community college or university in Arizona or transferring among public institutions in Arizona while pursuing their degrees.
