Information Technology: Cisco Networking

The Certificate of Completion (CCL) in Information Technology: Cisco Networking program focuses on the skills needed to prepare for industry-recognized certifications with an emphasis on certifications at the professional-level. Knowledge and skills are developed to install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Cisco routers and components, advanced routing protocols, Local Area Networks (LANs), and Wide Area Networks (WANs); troubleshoot problems with various common hardware and software configurations; perform administrative tasks in a network. Courses in the program also focus on the skills needed to prepare for various Cisco certifications including the Cisco Certified Networking Associate (CCNA) and Cisco Certified Network Professional Certifications (CCNP). Associate in Applied Science (AAS) is also available.

  • Demonstrate the knowledge and skills to install, configure, customize, maintain and troubleshoot Cisco routers utilizing Advanced Internet Protocol (IP) addressing techniques, Variable Length Subnet Masking (VLSM), distance vectored and Link State dynamic routing protocols, Routing Internet Protocol version 1 (RIPv1) and version 2 (RIPv2), Enhanced Interior Gateway Routing Protocol (EIGRP), Single-area Open Shortest Path First (OSPF), and understanding the structure and behavior of routing tables.
