Family Studies

Are you looking for a meaningful career where your work makes a positive and lasting impact? If you enjoy helping children and adolescents and their families strengthen their family bond through skilled and proven techniques, consider enrolling in the Family Studies program. Upon successfully completing this program, you can pursue a career in public, private, and human service agencies working with people of all ages, including children, teens, adults, seniors, and families. This program will also prepare you to transfer to a university and major in fields related to family life education, human development, or child and family studies.

Our experienced instructors will teach you skills and techniques necessary for working with adolescents and their families in the family life education, human development, early childhood, and adolescent settings. You will examine human development as it pertains to children and adults, marriage and family relationships, and the dynamic correlation between school, community, and family and how those intersect with one another.
