Welcome to Technology Support Services
Our team is comprised of the Help Desk and Networking teams that support faculty, staff, and students across campus as well as the satellite campuses in Guadalupe and Laveen.
Technology under our purview includes all phones, digital signage, computers and audio-visual technology in classrooms, general student areas, and community gathering rooms.
The Student Technology Support Team will be standing by to assist students with their technology needs.
We understand taking classes online can present new challenges, and we are here to help. As students experience technical difficulties while attending online classes or doing course work, help is just a phone call away. (And, yes, they'll talk to a *real* person!)

SMCC Wireless Access – WiFi
The Technology Support Services department maintains approximately 120 access points located throughout the campus and library. These access points allow laptops, tablets, cell phones, etc. to connect to our network resources and the internet.
We broadcast two (2) primary WiFi networks:
Maricopa – this is an unsecured wireless network available to visitors to the college who are not an enrolled student or an active employee of South Mountain Community College. This network only provides access to the internet.
CougarWiFi – this is a secured wireless network broadcast throughout the campus and available to all South Mountain Community College employees and students. You must authenticate to this network with a valid Maricopa MEID/Password.
If you have any questions about our wireless network access or if you have any problems connecting to one of the networks, please be sure to stop by the HelpDesk. We are located in the LRC Building.
