The college will be open to serving students online and by phone starting Thursday, March 19, however in-person college services, including on-campus events and activities, will not be available.

All current online classes will continue to be held as scheduled.

In-person and hybrid courses will resume in an online format starting April 6.

In-state Maricopa County residents pay just $85/credit hour, and can earn a two-year associate degree from South Mountain Community College for about $5,000. That’s more than 75% less than state university tuition costs. Now that’s a great investment!

  • Registration fee: SMCC has a one-time per semester registration fee of $15.
  • Special fees: Some courses and laboratories require an additional fee to pay for equipment, supplies, liability insurance or other special costs.
