Lactation Room
South Mountain Community College (SMCC) supports nursing parents by providing a safe, secure, and private Lactation Room for students, employees, and visitors.
Location:
North Campus Complex (NCC), Room 110
Access & Availability:
- Available on a first-come, first-served basis
- Priority is given to SMCC employees and currently enrolled students
- Usage is limited to one (1) hour per session
Hours of Operation:
- Monday – Thursday: 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM
- Friday – Saturday: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Guidelines for Use:
- Users must supply their own breast pump, adapter, and accessories
- Bringing a cooler for milk/formula storage is recommended unless prior arrangements have been made
- Only one adult is permitted in the room at a time
- Maintain a quiet, respectful environment (no loud music or phone conversations)
- For privacy, place the “Do Not Disturb” sign outside the door during use and return it inside upon exit
- Clean and sanitize the space after use using provided supplies (antibacterial wipes and paper towels)
Important Notice:
- SMCC is not responsible for lost or stolen items
- All personal belongings must be removed after use
