Blue Corn Mush Demonstration

Blue Corn Mush Demonstration
AISC and Native Health will be collaborating and hosting a demonstration workshop on how to make blue corn mush.
Blue Corn Mush is a traditional food for many southwest Native Americans.
In Navajo culture blue corn meal and other corns are used in various ceremonies and are offered during personal prayers made to plants and sacred sites when corn pollen isn’t available. Corn is embedded in oral traditional and spiritual cosmology of Navajo, as well. It is believed to be a staple food that was brought from worlds previous to this one we live in now by tazhii (turkey).
