As part of ongoing sustainability efforts at South Mountain Community College, Danielle Cowan, SMCL Faculty Librarian and Founder of the Maricopa Native Seed Library, led a seed collecting/nature walk.
During the walk Danielle pointed out native plants at SMCC and taught 13 participants, including Dr. Alice Murillo, VPAA of SMCC, how to identify when seed is ready and how to collect it.
