Engineering

Program Overview

Become a part of the next generation of engineers! Learn the essentials of science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM)—the cornerstones of a good engineer—while developing strong analytical and critical thinking skills that will support you in solving complex problems and creating solutions at all levels in any organization.

College Description
Through hands-on learning, you’ll build a strong foundation in math, science, and engineering principles while exploring how engineers design, test, and refine systems. You’ll gain experience applying concepts to real-world challenges, helping you understand how ideas move from concept to solution.

You’ll also work in lab-based environments that reinforce classroom learning, giving you practical experience with tools and techniques used in the field. This combination of theory and application prepares you to think like an engineer and approach problems with confidence.

The Engineering Technology degree program prepares students to become entry-level engineering technicians, while the Emphasis in Engineering program provides the first two years of a bachelor’s degree, preparing students to transfer to a university and pursue fields such as mechanical, civil, electrical, or other engineering disciplines—all while benefiting from personalized support and tuition that’s about 75% more affordable than a public in-state university.

Students at any Maricopa Community College may need to complete courses at more than one of our colleges.
